Tollywood has not seen many superhit movies in 2019, though some of the films that were made in 2018, received national awards this year.
Some of the top heroes did not mark their presence at the box office this year. Among the very few big heroes in the Telugu film industry, NTR and Allu Arjun did not get into action at all.
NTR is busy with his film RRR being directed by ace film maker S S Rajamouli; so, he could not do any other film this year.
Soon after the completion of his work with Rajamouli’s film, NTR is looking forward to starting his next film with Trivikram Srinivas.
Allu Arjun has a taken a long break after the release of his film “Naa Peru Suryaa.” He virtually wasted seven long months waiting for Trivikram to kick start the movie.
He also took a lot of time to okay the script. As a result, he missed 2019. He is hitting the screens the coming Sankranti with his “Ala Vaikunthapuramulo.”
Apparently, Allu Arjun wants to complete his next film with Sukumar at the earliest so that he could have two releases in 2020. That way, he wants to compensate for his miss in 2019.
Similarly, another young hero Nithiin also missed the bus in 2019. After having faced three successful flops, Nithiin dilly-dallied to begin his next movie “Bhishma.” So, he could not complete the film before end of December.
He is planning to ensure that apart from Bhishma, two more films of his – Rang De and another one with Yeleti would be released in 2020.
