The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce had asked the filmmakers to shutdown the shootings until March 21st and Telangana exhibitors have also decided to close the theaters till this Friday.
Will the theaters be open from this weekend in Hyderabad and other places in Telangana?
The answer is no. Now, theaters in Andhra Pradesh have also started shutting down.
From today, all theaters in the East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh will stop running the movies until March 31st. The district exhibitor’s association has taken the decision. Other districts will follow the suit.
In Telangana, the exhibitors are planning to extend the closing of the theaters for another week. There will be no new Telugu releases next weekend as well.
Films like “Orey Bujjigaa” have been postponed.
