An actor job is to portray his role aptly and for that one needs to undergo physical transformation sometimes as per the requirement of the character they play.
Other than physical stress, there will be mental stress as well, when they get to play a challenging or real-life character.
Coming to the actual point, actor Adivi Sesh is portraying the toughest role in his upcoming film Major inspired by the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred during the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai.
Firstly, it was really tough for Sesh and team to convince parents of Major Sandeep who were approached by many filmmakers earlier with the proposal of making biopic on their son.
Bowled by their sincerity in making the film and also because Sesh bears a resemblance to Major Unnikrishnan, the martyr parents gave go-ahead to the team.
Then, Sesh started rigorous training to do justice to the role of an army officer.
He lost 10 Kgs to get in shape for Major and even worked with a personal trainer at home.
“More than the physicality of it, I needed to understand his soul. He is a national hero and I have the responsibility to keep it as real as possible. The idea is not to mimic but understand Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan,” explains Sesh.
Sesh’s all the hard work for this film can be witnessed in the promotional content. The test-look poster and then first look poster received wonderful response and set the bar high.
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, Major has finished 70% of the shoot. The film is scheduled for summer release in 2021.
