Telugu film industry and the producers have been making preparations to resume shootings in June.
But Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, Telangana Minister for Cinematography, made a shocking revelation that their government is not in favor of opening the theaters for another couple of months. Neither shootings will be allowed any time soon.
As COVID-19 positive cases are not going down, the government doesn’t want to take a risk of opening large gatherings such as theaters and malls.
He hinted that the theaters may resume screening movies in September or October. It will take a while to give permitting shootings as well, he said.
However, producers are planning to meet CM KCR and request him to allow shootings. They will soon be making submitting a proposal of working under the current conditions.
