There is no doubt about the acting talent of Surya but the only issue is about his selection of movies.
He is working really hard for his projects, physically and on his performances too but he was going through a lingering patchy period because the “wow” factor is not there in his recent movies.
When he was already under tremendous pressure, Suriya who is also the producer of Aakasam Nee Haddura had to take a tough decision of releasing the film directly on OTT platform.
A fictionalized account of the life of retired Army Captain GR Gopinath, who founded the low-cost airline Air Deccan, the film directed by Sudha Kongara premiered exclusively on Amazon Prime last week has been receiving love of fans and the audience.
Aakasam Nee Haddura is a film that Suriya truly deserves and it is easily a perfect and terrific comeback for him.
Suriya’s strong suit is the intensity of his characters and there’s no one else you can see as Maha. We cry when he does, and we feel the joy when we see it in his eyes.
The film chronicles the journey of the protagonist from the age of 19 till he was in his 40s and Suriya is exceptional in showing variations in his character.
It’s easier to lose weight and have a physique of a 19-year-old but it’s not easy to look 19. Moreover, he scarcely appears for 5 minutes as an army official where he looks two decades younger.
All the hard work of Suriya is paid off as he got the much needed break.
But, the regret for us is that we missed to watch the film on big screens.
Hope, the makers will release the film in theatres when things come to normalcy!
