Sathyam Sundaram, a wholesome entertainer starring Karthi and Aravind Swamy with C Prem Kumar helming it is slated for release on the 28th of this month.
Produced by Suriya and Jyothika under the 2D Entertainment banner, Asian Suresh Entertainment is releasing the Telugu version.
Karthi says Sathyam Sundaram is a rare script.
“I was moved to tears in several places, when I read the script. I wondered how someone could write such a beautiful story. I love K Vishwanath's films, but such stories are rare these days.”
About his character in the movie, Karthi informs, “I play an innocent character running a sari shop in a small village. He has no expectations from life and speaks joyfully. It’s a simple yet beautiful character.”
Karthi asserts that no one could have portrayed the character better than Aravind Swamy.
“The story centers on two cousins, and Aravind was deeply moved after reading the script. Much like 96, this narrative unfolds over a single night.”
He avows that Suriya watched the movie.
“My brother Suriya hugged me proudly after watching my first film. Again, after watching this film, he hugged me with even more pride and complimented my performance.”
Karthi informs every song scored by Govind Vasantha will be meaningful, and the background score will be haunting.
He is also confident that besides receiving critical accolades, the movie will also become a commercial hit.
