Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, currently reveling in the success of 'Jailer,' has announced plans to construct a hospital spanning 12 acres in Chennai, aimed at providing free treatment to the underprivileged.
Recently, Rajinikanth visited the Registrar's office in Tirupporur, Chennai, to finalize the deed for his newly acquired land.
The news of Rajinikanth's land purchase and hospital project was leaked following his visit to the Registrar's office. Reportedly, the acquired land is situated along the Chennai OMR road towards Thalambur.
Rajinikanth's intention is to establish a large hospital at the location, offering top-notch free healthcare services to the economically disadvantaged, while also catering to the affluent who will be charged for their treatment.
Construction for the hospital is slated to commence soon, and despite his ongoing shooting commitments, Rajinikanth has entrusted a close friend to oversee the construction process.
In terms of his film career, Rajinikanth is currently engrossed in the shooting of 'Vettaiyan,' helmed by 'Jai Bhim' director Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions.
The film's production has entered its final stages, with the last leg of shooting currently underway in Hyderabad, featuring Rajinikanth, Rana Dagupathi, Ritika Singh, and other cast members.
