In terms of the Telugu film industry, the summer of 2024 is set to go by without any major releases.
Typically, during each summer season, at least three or four blockbuster Telugu films hit the theaters. However, this year is an exception.
"Kalki 2898 AD," originally scheduled for release on May 9th, is now seeking a new release date following the upcoming elections.
The decision not to release it on May 9th stems from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana parliamentary elections, along with the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections scheduled for May 13th. An official announcement regarding the new release date is expected shortly.
With the departure of "Kalki 2898 AD," there are no other films featuring A-list stars slated for release this summer.
Notable releases expected this summer include Vijay Deverakonda's "Family Man," Vishwak Sen's "Gangs of Godavari," and Anjali's "Geethanjali Malli Vachindi."
