It is known that Pushpa received some negative comments from the audience. One of the complaints is that the second half was dragged.
Sukumar responded on these comments indirectly stating that he had to take more leads in the second half keeping Part-2 in mind, and gave an explanation.
"The actual story of Pushpa is in Part-2. Partt-1 is just a lead for the actual theme. Part 2 will be the next level altogether. All the characters which you felt are not justified will hit the roofs in the Part-2. Not more than three characters are going to be added in the second part", said Sukumar.
Sukumar stated that the shoot of second part will commence from Febraury. He assured that the full dose performance of Fahd Fazil will be seen in second part.
If everything goes well, the second part will be released by the same time next year or a month before, he assured.
Sukumar said that there will be more importance for the characters of Anasuya and others in the Part-2. The unit is working on pre production plans to hit the sets in February.
