Pooja Hegde recently created a new record by charging a hefty amount for a Telugu film. She reportedly took home a Rs 3.75 Cr paycheck for Puri Jagannadh’s “Jana Gana Mana”.
On the other hand, producer Dil Raju paid a whopping Rs 4 Crore to Kiara Advani for #RC15. Kiara Advani is more of a Bollywood heroine than a South Indian actress. But when it comes to Telugu films, Kiara is the highest-paid actress.
Insiders say there is a competition between Kiara Advani and Pooja Hegde, and they are hiking remunerations to get an upper hand. If Pooja Hegde scores one or two blockbusters more, she might beat Kiara Advani.
As Tollywood is coming up with more pan-Indian projects, there seems to be a huge demand for top heroines. Hence these actresses are charging bigger than before.
