The stalling of shoots and post-production works in the TV industry has wrecked livelihoods. An end to the lockdown of the TV industry is not in sight as of now.
With several technicians, assistants and workers being affected by the economic damage, Star MAA, the popular TV channel, has made a generous donation to help them out.
The TV channel has handed out a liberal donation of Rs 55 lakh for the well-being of more than 500 members of the television industry. They are part of various technical and non-technical segments of the industry.
Going into the details, more than 500 associated with TV serials/programs are going to receive Rs 10,000 each, thanks to Star MAA's donation. They have been left without daily work for the past few weeks.
The charity will be of immense benefit for staff working in production houses, assistants to artists, art assistants, technicians, among others. Freelancers, too, will stand to receive monetary help.
