While promoting HIT 3 in Mumbai, Srinidhi Shetty revealed that she had auditioned for her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Following this, Bollywood media outlets reported that the makers of Ramayana had chosen Sai Pallavi over Srinidhi for the role, suggesting that Sai Pallavi had "grabbed" the opportunity from her.
However, speaking to the Telugu media, Srinidhi set the record straight. She clarified that Sai Pallavi did not take a role that was originally hers.
"I only auditioned for the role of Goddess Sita. After my audition, I didn’t receive any further communication from the makers. I only learned through media reports that Sai Pallavi was cast. But the way the media framed it — as if I was replaced by Sai Pallavi — is completely wrong," Srinidhi explained.
