Actress Sanam Shetty, a well-known name in Kollywood, is also familiar to Telugu audiences for her role as Meghana in Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu.
Today, she revealed shocking details about the working culture in the Tamil film industry, exposing gender discrimination and exploitation.
She criticized Kollywood filmmakers, stating that before making films about equality, they should first ensure equal treatment and respect for both male and female actors.
"Male actors are treated with respect, but female actors often face unfair treatment," she pointed out.
Sharing her own experiences, she alleged that many Tamil filmmakers do not approach actresses for their acting skills but for personal favors.
"When we think they are calling us for movie roles, they are actually calling us to sleep with them," she alleged.
She also uploaded a video on Instagram, detailing her claims and calling for a change in the industry.
