Even though the makers have denied the media reports earlier, Anushka’s “Nishabdham” was the first Telugu movie that received a great offer for OTT direct digital release.
A prominent streaming company made a great proposal to release it on their platform in May but Anushka was not keen on skipping theatrical windows back then.
It took a while for her to understand the gravity of the situation.
After she gave a nod to the direct OTT release, the makers again initiated discussions with the same company, but the final deal is now getting delayed for various reasons.
No wonder then that there is so much silence on the front of this movie’s release plans. Neither the production house nor the film’s presenter Kona Venkat is making any statement.
Kona Venkat even sought the opinion of his followers about the movie’s release and they voted for direct OTT release.
As Telugu filmmakers continued dodging on direct digital release for months, the streaming companies have gained upper hand over the makers.
Still, “Nishabdham” has a high chance of making it to OTT only.
