Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film under the direction of Rajkumar Periasamy has now been titled Amaran. The makers have also unveiled the first look and a teaser on the actor’s birthday.
The teaser begins with a terrorist giving a demo on killing army personnel while giving a warning to future freedom fighters.
Sivakarthikeyan is introduced as Mukund who leads a battalion called Rashtriya Rifles who are in an anti-terrorism operation.

It is a biopic where Sivakarthikeyan will be seen in the role of real-life officer Major Mukund Varadarajan who was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment.
Sai Pallavi is the leading lady in the movie produced by Kamal Haasan, and R Mahendran, in association with Sony Pictures International Productions.
