Shriya Saran’s first look from her comeback film Gamanam was released yesterday on the occasion of her birthday.
The look surprised one and all as Shriya appeared in a de-glamorous role in saree.
Now, it is coming out that, Shriya plays a mute village girl in the anthology film that tells three stories.
The other two stories will feature Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar.
Lady director Sujana Rao who is directing the Pan India film initially had her doubts whether Shriya who mostly played glamorous roles in her previous films can pull off the challenging and de-glam role in Gamanam.
But, she is said to have got convinced after meeting Shriya to narrate the story.
Currently, post-production works are underway and the makers are hopeful of Covid-19 situation to improve, so that they can release the film in theaters.
