The massive failure of “Indian 2,” also known as “Bharateeydu 2,” proved that director Shankar is at a low point in his creative phase.
For a long time, he has been struggling to come up with strong scripts. Following the death of his long-time writer friend Sujatha, he was unable to develop tight screenplays. This was particularly evident in "Indian 2."
Not only did the film bomb at the box office, but it also received heavy trolling from everyone. Even Kamal Haasan’s die-hard fans trolled Shankar for wasting a fantastic opportunity.
Sources say the veteran director is in a dilemma over the third part of this series.
"Indian 3" had already concluded its filming. But after the failure of part 2, the trade felt that there would be no interest in the third installment.
The first part of the NTR biopic, “NTR: Kathanayakudu,” flopped miserably. As a result, the second part of this film, “NTR: Mahanayakudu,” had no takers. Many say “Bharateeyudu 3” will meet the same fate.
