Shankar Faces Criticism for 5-hr Footage Comment

Director Shankar has finally spoken out about Game Changer, which turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office.

The Ram Charan starrer received negative feedback from fans as well.

Although it had a strong opening on its first day, the film's performance declined rapidly, ultimately becoming a significant flop.

In a recent interview, Shankar admitted that he should have exercised more caution in certain aspects of the film.

He also revealed that he had to omit several intriguing scenes due to time constraints.

According to him, there were five hours of footage at the editing stage, which had to be cut down to fit the standard runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes.

However, his comments did not sit well with Ram Charan's fans.

They questioned how a director of Shankar's caliber could be so careless in deciding what to include, especially after taking three years to complete the film.

Fans have criticized him for wasting Charan’s time by shooting over five hours of footage.

Shankar seems to be going through a challenging phase in his career.

While Game Changer was considered an improvement over his previous film, Indian 2, the disappointing results left the producers facing significant financial losses.
