The film "Pathaan," starring Shah Rukh Khan and marking his return to lead roles after 4 years, has broken records since its Jan 25 release and is now on track to become the second highest-grossing Hindi film in India.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, "Pathaan" earned approximately Rs 9.50 crore on its second Monday, bringing its total to Rs 438.5 crore and surpassing the overall collection of "KGF 2" which is Rs 434.7 crore (Hindi).
Box Office India reports a 40% drop in collection on Monday, mainly due to reduced ticket prices on weekdays, with an 11.31% occupancy in Hindi, 25.73% in Telugu, and 18.46% in Tamil.
The film's producers YRF announced the worldwide gross at Rs 832.20 crore and with no major Bollywood releases until Feb 17, "Pathaan" has the chance to overtake Baahubali 2 as the highest-grossing film in the Hindi market (Rs 510.99 crore).
