Saripodhaa Sanivaaram has ultimately turned out to be a loss-making venture. Even Dil Raju, the distributor for both Telugu states, couldn’t achieve a break-even.
Despite receiving fairly positive feedback, the film failed to draw audiences to theaters. The failure wasn’t due to the content but rather the high production costs.
Additionally, the expectation that the Vinayaka Chavithi festival day, followed by Sunday, would boost collections did not come to fruition.
The festival kept people occupied, and Sunday’s rain further affected the turnout. As a result, the film's overall run has slowed down significantly as of today.
Before the release, Nani had stated that distributors would be pleased with the film’s performance. However, aside from the Nizam region, both Andhra and Ceded distributors have suffered losses.
It remains to be seen how the filmmakers will justify the movie's financial performance in the end.
