On its first day, "Saripodhaa Sanivaaram" collected a net of Rs 9 crore in India. It was a pretty average collection for a Nani starrer.
However, the film grossed a whopping Rs 4.5 crore in the United States from premiere shows. Overall, it was a decent start for the film on its first day.
On the second day, however, the film saw a nearly 55 percent drop in collections in the Telugu states, with Friday’s collections estimated to be around Rs 5 crore net.
Releasing the film on Thursday has proven to be a significant disadvantage. If the makers had released the film on Friday, the drop would not have been as steep on the second day.
The film needs to pick up momentum on Saturday and Sunday to post a strong total by the end of the first weekend.
However, the film is performing well in the United States. Even on Day 1, it grossed over $300,000, the highest first-day amount in Nani's career.
