Veteran actor Sarath Babu has been in critical condition for the past few days after contracting sepsis. On Wednesday, media outlets reported his death. However, these reports proved to be false.
He is still alive and well. His sister issued a press statement in response to the rumors.
"All social media news reports about Sarath Babu's condition are incorrect. Sarath Babu has made a partial recovery and has been moved from the intensive care unit to his room. We pray and hope that Sarath Babu will be able to speak to the media soon,” she said.
“My request is that you do not believe any social media news," she urged the people.
The 72-year-old actor was admitted to AIG hospital in Hyderabad due to an infection. Sepsis is the medical term for this condition.
