The controversy surrounding the viral song ‘Saranga Dariya’ has come to an end, with folk singer Komali has agreed the makers use the song without any reservations.
On Wednesday, she came down to Hyderabad from her native place and meet director Sekhar Kammula.
She wanted credit for the song and monetary help. Sources have informed Sekhar Kammula had agreed to give her credit in the film and also has given the money that she had asked.
He reportedly paid a handsome price, much bigger than the highest-paid singer gets.
Komali is the original folk singer who discovered the ‘Saranga Dariya’ song was mostly being sung by tribals in the interior villages. She brought it to prominence by singing in ‘Rela Rela’ TV show.
Sekhar Kammula has used the same folk number - ‘Saranga Dariya’ – in his upcoming release, Love Story, which has become a rage.
It has already garnered 50 million views in just 10 days. The song was sung by Mangli.
