The trailer launch event of Dhanush’s Sir took place the other day in Hyderabad with the Tamil star attending it.
Director Venky Atluri who previously made youthful romantic entertainers changed his style and made a message-oriented movie in a commercially viable manner.
The director revealed that he narrated the story during the lockdown and Dhanush accepted it immediately.
“I was really surprised when Dhanush sir told me when do I need dates for the movie. I will always be indebted to him. Dhanush and GV Prakash’s is a superhit combination. Samyuktha Menon is an apt choice for the movie.
Dhanush stated that he understands Telugu, but he is yet to learn the language. He delivered his speech in Tamil. Later, he thanked the team for all the support. He stated how things have changed now. “We started treating every movie as an Indian cinema.”
Dhanush further revealed that the story of the movie takes place at Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu border. He also expressed his happiness about making his Telugu debut with Sir.
An interesting incident happened when Samyuktha Menon was asked to sing a song on stage. “I’m not a good singer. We know here we have a good singer on the stage.”
Samyuktha requested Dhanush to sing a song and he accepted her singing Mastaaru song on stage.
Although producer Naga Vamsi didn’t utter a word at the event, he looked very confident and the team is planning aggressive promotions this week.
The trailer has got a wonderful response and the film Sir is all set for release on 17th of this month with some good expectations.
