Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who places a strong emphasis on mental well-being, was recently asked in an interview with GQ if she ever felt "envy" when her ex moved on or entered a new relationship.
Dismissing the idea completely, Samantha responded that envy has no place in her heart.
"I've been through too much in my life to dwell on that," she said.
She further added, "Oh no. One quality that I completely dissociate myself from is envy. I refuse to let that be a part of my core. I believe envy is the root of all evil. Everything else is fine, but there is no space for something as unhealthy as envy."
Samantha was previously married to Naga Chaitanya, and the couple announced their divorce in 2021.
In December last year, Naga Chaitanya married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a traditional Telugu ceremony, bringing renewed public attention to his past relationship with Samantha.
The wedding once again put their private lives under intense media and social media scrutiny.
Recently, Samantha was spotted with Raj Nidimoru, her Citadel: Honey Bunny director, at a pickleball tournament, sparking dating rumors.
On the professional front, Samantha was last seen in the Amazon Prime Original Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan.
Her last big-screen appearance was in Kushi (2023), where she starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
