Samantha is now the talk of the film industry. Her latest portrayal in the Amazon web series 'Family Man-2' raked controversy from Tamilnadu. This is the OTT debut of Samantha.
Though there has been uproar on this, Samantha never spoke out.
Now she responded saying, "I thought of filling this character with sensitive and emotional elements when I agreed to the character of Raji. I thought of replicating the fight, hatred, tyranny and greed of those times. If I fail to do that I fail to do justice to the people of that area in those days".
She said that she agreed to do the role only after knowing that there is a lot of scope to showcase the talent.
"I did a lot of homework to portray the role of Raji. I watched several documentaries related to the Tamil Eelam Movement. I understood the pains of women those days. The Creative team used to send me the material from time to time. I couldn't control myself after knowing the pain the women went through during Tamil Eelam Movement", said Samantha.
Samantha is happy to know the recognition she got for the role of Raji in the Family Man-2 series. She is looking for more interesting characters and characterizations.
