Early in May, Samantha Akkineni had shown so much eagerness to promote her maiden web series “The Family Man Season 2”.
Directed by Raj-DK, the series has Samantha playing a terrorist named Raji. Samantha had given interviews to Bollywood portals and media houses in the second week of May but she has now stopped promoting it.
Buzz is that the makers have instructed her not to talk about the show as it landed in a controversy. The Tamil organizations are demanding a ban on the web series.
The organizations say the trailer of the web series hurt the sentiments of Tamil people across the world.
Samantha also doesn’t want to land in a political row. Like her father-in-law Nagarjuna, Samantha always tries to avoid political controversies.
All her enthusiasm to promote the film in national media has been killed. Her efforts to hog the limelight have gone kaput.
