Salaar BEATS Baahubali - Part 1 in North America

Salaar BEATS Baahubali - Part 1 in North America

Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's film "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire" continues to make waves globally, with its Indian box office collections expected to surpass Rs 375 crore by the end of Thursday.

The North American market (USA and Canada) has also witnessed impressive business, accumulating US $8.6 million in just 13 days since its release, surpassing the earnings of "Baahubali: The Beginning," which had garnered US $8.46 million.

Despite Salaar's remarkable performance, it is unlikely to surpass the 9th spot held by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's last film, 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,' which earned US $10.6 million.

Salaar's daily collections are on a decline, facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki," with only the Telugu and Hindi versions showing strong performance, while the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions contribute minimally to the overall collection.

As time progresses, Salaar may lose screens, posing challenges in further enhancing its earnings.

International trade experts anticipate Salaar's lifetime collection to range between US $9.5 to US $10.5 million, just falling short of Karan Johar's directorial.

Amidst the tremendous buzz surrounding Salaar, confirmation of a sequel, titled "Salaar - Shouryanga Parvam," has emerged, with Prabhas revealing that the script is ready.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur, in an interview with Pinkvilla, disclosed that the second part is slated for release by the end of 2025.
