The shocking knife attack on Saif Ali Khan has left the entire film industry in disbelief.
The pressing question remains: how did the intruder manage to enter the children’s bedroom? Here are the latest updates from the Mumbai Police on the case.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the attacker may have been connected to one of the household staff, who allegedly allowed him into the residence. Reports indicate that the intruder managed to access the children’s room.
An officer from the investigation team stated, “The intruder was granted entry into Saif Ali Khan’s house by a domestic help. It is unclear what transpired next, leading to the help raising an alarm and Khan being attacked. We are thoroughly investigating the matter.”
A source further revealed, “We suspect that the house help knowingly or unknowingly facilitated the intruder’s entry. An argument might have ensued afterward. The domestic help is currently being interrogated by local authorities. Seven police teams are actively working on this case.”
The attacker was reportedly locked inside one of the rooms but managed to escape.
In addition to the local police, the Mumbai Crime Branch is conducting a parallel investigation into the incident. Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage from the area to track down the suspect.
“We have some leads and expect to apprehend him soon,” a police official stated.
Saif Ali Khan sustained six stab wounds, including two deep cuts on his back—one dangerously close to his spine—and a minor injury to his neck.
Doctors successfully removed a foreign object from near his spine, and neurosurgery has been completed.
Saif’s children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, were seen arriving at the hospital, visibly worried, to visit their father.
