Director Swaroop RSJ who made grand debut with the superhit Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya is coming up with a bounty hunting movie Mishan Impossible.
The film starring Taapsee Pannu and produced by Matinee Entertainment is scheduled for its release on April 1st.
The director in his exclusive interview with greatandhra.com revealed many interesting aspects about the movie.
While Agent was a crime thriller with sufficient comedy elements, he says Mishan Impossible is more of a comedy film, although there are shades of a thriller in the film.
“The story actually revolves around 3 kids who are the protagonists. It needed a central character who drives the kids. We needed a performer. Taapsee is an apt choice. Her role will be there for 45 minutes.”
Swaroop informs he penned the story, much before Agent and he always wanted to make a film in the lines of Taare Zameen Par etc.
“I like comedy, thriller and drama. I like films of these 3 genres. The last scene in the trailer of- RRR Vs KGF that comes in the second half of the movie will be a major highlight.”
A newspaper article was an inspiration for the story. “Three kids went all the way to Mumbai to catch Dawood Ebrahim and become rich overnight. I liked the premise. It excited me. I developed a fictional story based on that.
The heading of the article was Mission Impossible. You will know why the title was struck off, when you watch the movie.”
The director says as the story is rooted locally, he didn’t plan on making it at Pan India level, though it starred a popular actress like Taapsee Pannu.
He’s all praises for the actress. “I initially thought she would be serious, but she is very friendly. On sets, she is amazing.”
Matinee Entertainment is mostly making high budget movies. “Niranjan Reddy is very creative and likes different subjects. He instantly liked the story.”
Swaroop also informs, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya will have part 2. “We’re planning a sequel for Agent with Naveen Polisetty in the lead. The span of the story has to be bigger, so it may take some time to take off.”
