It's all the matter of survival of the fittest in the film industry. Owing to the increased interest rates because of the delays due to pandemic and considering 'no free hand' to sell the tickets at Rs 500 flat rate like that of Bahubali days, the distributors in Telangana and AP demanded for a 30% discount in the commitments made for RRR.
Initially, the producer was a bit shaken and thought of giving a 10% discount.
But finally, looking at the phenomenal advance bookings and the demand thumping at the theaters for the tickets of the film, the producer gave a dhamki to the distributors stating that he is ready to do own release if the distributors don't want to pay the committed amount in full.
Hearing this bold statement from the producer, the distributors bowed down and are moving ahead without demanding any discounts.
This shows that the distributors are now convinced to play such huge stakes on this film smelling the hype around.
