SS Rajamouli's star power and filmmaking ability has drawn audiences to theaters in the past, including with the successful Baahubali franchise. However, RRR failed to match the success of KGF Chapter 2 at the worldwide box office.
KGF Chapter 2, with its massive global collections of 1230 crores, holds the third position as the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide. The top two spots are held by Dangal (1899 crores) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (1800 crores).
Despite a recent release in Japan, adding 45 crores to RRR's worldwide collections, the film currently stands at 1189 crores and is expected to reach a lifetime total of 1200-1210 crores at most.
Unfortunately, this means that SS Rajamouli's epic film falls short of surpassing KGF Chapter 2 and securing a spot in the top 3 highest-grossing Indian films globally. Nevertheless, RRR has achieved other notable milestones during its run.
