Sakshi daily featured a striking full-page ad on its front page to commemorate NTR's death anniversary.
Notably, this ad prominently displayed photos of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife, alongside routine tributes to NTR as the symbol of Telugu pride.
The ad also highlighted the Telugu Desam Party's membership registration drive, stating that the party, under Nara Lokesh's leadership, honored NTR by registering one crore members.
Interestingly, this ad appeared in Sakshi.
While media ads promoting TDP's political agenda are routine in Andhra Jyothy or Eenadu, a full-page ad for the TDP in Sakshi raises eyebrows, especially since the newspaper usually aligns with the YSR Congress Party.
Despite this, Sakshi seems to have had no objections to publishing the ad.
The ad’s focus on the Vemireddy family is noteworthy. Once a prominent YSRCP member, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy left the party after disputes and now appears to be aligning with the TDP.
His decision to feature prominently in this tribute suggests a deliberate attempt to showcase his loyalty to his new political alignment.
That's a big move indeed.
