Ram Gopal Varma's films 'Vyooham' and 'Shapadham' are postponed once again. The films originally scheduled for release on 23rd Feb and March 1st respectively are now rescheduled to March 1st and March 8th.
Ram Gopal Varma made the films 'Vyooham' and 'Shaphadham' amidst the heated atmosphere of AP elections. These films have already faced several postponements. However after resolving court cases and censorship issues, the time for the release of the movies 'Vyooham' and 'Shaphadham' has finally arrived.
But today RGV declared the postponement of the films when many anticipated the release of "Vyooham" in another few hours.
"VYOOHAM film and SHAPADHAM film are being postponed to March 1st and March 8th but this time it is NOT BECAUSE OF LOKESH ..It is due to certain technicalities , wanting to do more promotion and also because we are getting better preferred theatres on those dates", RGV posted on X.
However apart from what RGV tweeted, upon our probe, we heard few more reasons behind this postponement episode:
1. An insider says that Lokesh is actually behind this delay where he orchestrated some new issues which are not clearly known yet.
2. As per an American distributor, RGV instructed to make the release big enough and also suggested to release both "Vyooham" and "Shapadham" on the same day if needed, in the case of any technical issues. So, as the theatres in the USA were given only for March 1st, the films are postponed in India as well.
3. One of the local distributors of the film, "Following the Court's verdict and its direction, the concerned authority in Mumbai has watched the film but yet to give the signal to issue the final certificate. The authority has orally advised the producer to go ahead with the release but didn't give it in written format. Unless the producer has the instruction in written form, he cannot get the final certificate from the censor board. They waited until this afternoon and decided to postpone the release as they didnt get any written instruction from Mumbai."
So any of the above reasons could be true.
With the postponement of the film, BookMyShow has started refunding the amounts to the audience who booked the tickets in advance.
Both the films "Vyooham" and "Shapadham" are produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar under the banner of Ramadootha Creations.
