The re-release trend is making a buzz Tollywood. Several old hits from the past two years have resurfaced, and this trend continues into the new year.
While January saw fewer re-releases, the momentum has picked up since February.
Sidhu Jonnalagadda's 'Krishna and His Leela' has been re-released. Originally released on OTT five years ago, the film returned to theaters as a Valentine's Day gift under a new title, 'It's Complicated'.
On the same day, 'Surya Son of Krishnan' was also re-released.
Additionally, Ram Charan's flop movie 'Orange' made a comeback and performed better at the box office this time than during its initial release.
This re-release fever is set to continue in March.
The month will begin with 'Godavari', directed by Sekhar Kammula, followed by 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', featuring Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, a week later.
'Salaar-1', starring Prabhas, and 'Yevade Subrahmanyam', featuring Nani and Vijay Deverakonda, are also making a return.
In between, 'Yuganiki Okkadu', starring Karthi, will hit theaters again.
With this lineup, the re-release trend that started in February is set to gain even more momentum in March.
