Rashmika Faces Her First Big Bollywood Flop

Rashmika Faces Her First Big Bollywood Flop

Once considered the undisputed king of the Ramzan box office, Salman Khan has been struggling to deliver a hit in recent years.

His latest release, Sikandar, which premiered on March 30 — just before Ramzan — has only added to his woes.

Despite a decent opening, Sikandar is expected to earn just ₹75–80 crore (nett) in India over its first three days — a surprisingly low figure for a Salman Khan starrer.

With negative word-of-mouth and weak weekday projections, trade analysts are predicting yet another disappointment for the superstar.

For Rashmika Mandanna, Sikandar marks her first major flop in Bollywood.

She had been on a dream run with blockbusters like Animal, Chhaava, and Pushpa 2, which collectively grossed over ₹2,000 crore in the Hindi market.

This streak had cemented her status as Bollywood’s new female superstar, and she had high hopes of continuing that success with Sikandar.

However, the film’s underperformance at the box office makes it her first major flop — especially given that it starred a top-tier Bollywood icon like Salman Khan.

While she’s had minor setbacks before, Sikandar stands out as a significant misstep in her otherwise successful Bollywood journey.
