The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and Active Producers Guild collectively took many decisions to cut down the cost of production and bring the audiences to the theaters.
The main resolutions are - 1. All films will premiere on OTT platforms after eight weeks of the theatrical release 2. Food and Beverage prices will be drastically reduced in theaters 3. Reduction of remunerations and restricting the number of staff for actors.
There was a talk that the producers will reduce the remunerations of all top heroes. But the decision has not been taken yet. However, the producers have agreed to cut down the number of staff for all actors, and other expenses. There will be no personal car allotted to actors within Hyderabad for commuting shooting spots.
Actors like Rao Ramesh will be affected the most by the current resolution. The producers reportedly have decided not to pay any character actor day-wise payment. The remuneration will be given to them for film, not for the number of days.
Rao Ramesh charges more than Rs 8 lakh per day. On many occasions, his dates are not being used. But producers have to pay the money whether they film any scenes on him or not on that day. So, the new decision will reduce his income.
