Nithin’s Rang De was in the last leg of its production stage when the COVID has brought everything to a standstill in Tollywood.
Producer Naga Vamsi also announced July 30 as its release date. That date was actually booked for Rajamouli’s multistarrer RRR.
Nithin who was basking in the glory of Bheeshma’s success was happy to book such a good release slot for Rang De. But everything went haywire due to COVID and in the meantime,
Nithin got married to his girlfriend. He is all set to resume the shoot of Rang De from this month-end.
Speculations are rife about the makers looking for OTT release of Rang De as they have been receiving lucrative offers from the streaming giants.
The filming will be wrapped up by October and then the makers will be taking a call on whether to wait until Sankranthi for a theatrical release or opt for OTT release.
The film is directed by Venky Atluri and stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.
