It's known that Minister Konda Surekha made controversial remarks about Samantha. However, in the same statement, she also referenced actress Rakul Preet Singh.
Surekha said, "Troubled by KTR and his drugs cases, two to three actresses got married all of a sudden and left the industry. Rakul Preet Singh also got married as we know".
Rakul Preet has now responded to these comments. In her rebuttal, she condemned Surekha’s remarks and urged her not to use her name for political purposes.
"I have no involvement in politics and no connection with any individual or political party. Please do not use my name for political advantage. Please put actors out of politics. Don't fabricate stories about them for political gain or media attention", Rakul said.
Rakul strongly opposed the use of her name in such a manner, stating that it was deeply hurtful to see a woman in a responsible position to make baseless, outrageous accusations against another woman.
She added that while the actors' fraternity remain silent with the intent of maintaining dignity, this silence should not be mistaken for weakness.
Although Konda Surekha issued an apology to Samantha, she has yet to respond to Rakul Preet Singh's concerns.
