Rakul Preet Singh's husband, producer Jackky Bhagnani, is in trouble. He and his production company, Pooja Entertainment, are being criticized on social media.
This production company, which has been in Bollywood for decades is not paying its employees on time.
Recently the company produced a big movie called Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. This movie, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff was a disaster.
Many who worked on this film are posting on social media that they have not been paid their dues.
According to the rules in Bollywood, payments should be made to all those who worked on the film within 45 to 60 days after the shooting of the film.
However, the employees who worked for Pooja Entertainment are posting that they have not received their wages for two months.
After this story came out, more people took to social media to explain the injustice done to them by the production company. An employee named Vaishnavi exposed the injustice done to her.
She said that she and 100 other staff members of the unit have been waiting for their dues for two years and so far they have not received anything.
Another employee responded, alleging that they would be ordered to go to the location for outdoor shooting and would not even be provided food there.
He said that if he worked for three months, he would be paid for one month's salary, with the rest pending.
He has no hope of receiving his pending amount and is posting this to warn others.
He wrote that some production companies, which pay large sums to the heroes and heroines, do not want to pay the salaries of the working staff.
Pooja Entertainment was established in 1986. Hit movies like Coolie No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), Biwi No. 1 and Khamoshi came out under this banner.
