Rajinikanth has reportedly ascended to the status of India's highest-paid actor following the extraordinary success of his recently released movie, "Jailer."
The film is said to have amassed a staggering worldwide collection of over Rs 564.35 crore.
In light of this historic achievement, Kalanithi Maran, the producer of Sun Pictures, had a momentous meeting with Rajinikanth during which he presented the legendary actor with a substantial check.
Sun Pictures' official account captured this priceless moment and shared it on social media, writing: "Mr. Kalanithi Maran met Superstar Rajinikanth and handed over a check, celebrating the historic success of 'Jailer.'"

Notably, film trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan revealed some additional details, stating: "It has been reported that the envelope presented by Kalanithi Maran to Superstar Rajinikanth contains a single check amounting to Rs 100 crore from the Mandaveli branch of City Union Bank in Chennai. This check represents profit sharing for 'Jailer,' which is in addition to the superstar's already received remuneration of Rs 110 crore for the movie. In total, this amounts to Rs 210 crore, making Rajinikanth the highest-paid actor in India."
Released on August 10, "Jailer" achieved a remarkable feat by collecting a staggering Rs 500 crore worldwide within a mere 10 days.
The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, continues to perform exceptionally well both in India and overseas.
