Kalki is on track to break movie records. Fans strongly believe its opening will surpass that of RRR.
Records are being shattered without Rajamouli's involvement in Kalki. There's no doubt about these matters. Nag Ashwin's ability to create an imaginary, magical world is comparable to Rajamouli's.
However, in terms of generating hype and marketing a film, no director can beat Rajamouli.
It's not just about planning a movie, silently preparing everything, explaining it to the media at the beginning, giving updates slowly, and providing interviews and promotional content before the release. Everything happens simultaneously with Rajamouli.
Rajamouli excels at traveling across the country, involving heroes in publicity, preparing the release copy and smoothly executing proper publicity and bringing hype for the film.
Nag Ashwin, however, seems to struggle with this aspect. Even while preparing the copy, there are issues. Content work continues until three days before the release.
The hero and others have not yet appeared in Telugu media. They have only had a press meet in Mumbai. It's unclear whether Prabhas is here or in Europe, as usual. The music director is still working on last-minute tasks.
Perhaps Rajamouli's family takes on these responsibilities and ensures smooth progress. In contrast, only Swapna Dutt supports Nag Ashwin, handling marketing and planning.
Nag Ashwin must manage the copy, its quality and everything else. This could be the key difference.
