“Manmadhudu 2” director Rahul Ravindran has admitted that his wife, popular singer Chinmayi has been receiving abuse online for a long time.
He also said that people are trolling her for one shot in his upcoming movie. But it hurts, says Rahul.
“Yes... everyone has been trolling my wife. Abusing in fact. It hurts. But silence is golden. When people watch the film they’ll realize it’s only in one single scene and why. And they’ll know why my wife is proud of me,” he replied to a tweet one follower pointed about his wife.
Chinmayi is a feminist and she regularly voices against male chauvinism and has exposed #MeToo incidents.
She earlier made strong comments about heroes who romance with the actresses that are half their age.
In “Manmadhudu 2”, 60-year-old Nagarjuna paired up with 28-year-old Rakul. So, people are pointing out this and also about some dialogues that are completely contrary to the philosophy of Rahul Ravindran’s wife Chinmayi.
He, however, says all doubts will be cleared once the film gets released.
