It’s time to open the gates for advance bookings of the film Pushpa 2. For that to happen, the ticket prices need to be finalized.
The producers have already submitted a request for a ticket price hike to both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments.
It is said that Kandula Durgesh, the Minister of Cinematography, received the request and passed it on to Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister, who has been given full authority to make decisions related to the film industry.
Sources say that Pawan Kalyan gave the green signal to proceed with the prices similar to those of Devara and Kalki.
However, the Cinematography Minister clarified to the Deputy Chief Minister that the requested price hikes are higher than those of Devara and Kalki.
Upon learning this, Pawan Kalyan stated that he would make the final decision once he returns from his Kakinada tour.
So, as soon as he returns, a decision will be made on whether to go with the same price hikes as Devara and Kalki, or consider further increases. This is the situation in Andhra Pradesh.
As for Telangana, sources say that the authorities are waiting to see what price hike the Andhra Pradesh government will approve and will base their decision on that.
Whatever the outcome, it is high time to open advance bookings for a big film like Pushpa 2.
If there is further delay close to the film's release date, there could be issues such as BookMyShow server crashes, given the hype surrounding the film.
Not only that, but theater owners also need to make plans and have enough time to arrange everything for the release.
