The talk of Tollywood is all about the movie Pushpa 2. Will it release as expected? How much work is still pending? Will the time be enough? When will they release another song? These are some of the many questions being asked.
According to industry insiders, about 35 to 40 days of shooting are still pending. Allu Arjun (Bunny) and Fahadh Faasil have scenes left to shoot.
In film terms, 40 days of shooting can take anywhere from 60 to 80 days due to schedule adjustments and breaks.
Currently, Sukumar is focused on locking the first half of the film. It is expected that the first half will be locked by the end of August, giving them about 90 days to complete the shooting and lock the second half.
Since it's a Sukumar film, Devi Sri Prasad will need to put extra effort into the background score. If the music for the first half is composed by September, there’s a chance the music for the second half will be ready by November.
Therefore, it looks likely that the work will be completed by the end of November. The key is for the main actors, Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, to cooperate fully. If director Sukumar can set aside his meticulous working style and speed things up, it would be even better.
However, unlike Pushpa 1, Sukumar is not expected to appear in the pre-release publicity this time around. The entire burden of publicity will fall on Allu Arjun.
Publicity across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other places will require at least 15 to 30 days. For this to happen, Allu Arjun must be free of any other film commitments by the end of October.
In conclusion, a December release for Pushpa 2 is possible, but it all depends on Sukumar's determination and effort.
