No matter how many years Pushpa 2 has been in production, there seems to be an unavoidable last-minute rush. With only two months left until its release, the team is still actively shooting.
When will they have time for post-production?
Reports suggest that the edit for the first half is locked. Three separate units have been working simultaneously on the film, with director Sukumar overseeing only one, while the other two units have been managed by his assistants.
These units have filmed in various locations, including Yanam, Kakinada, Rampachodavaram, and Visakhapatnam. Now that the first half's cut is ready, re-recording work can begin.
However, the second half still needs to be finalized, and ideally, shooting should wrap up to focus on this—raising concerns about the timeline.
Pushpa 2 is under immense pressure to surpass the box office records set by Devara.
The anti-fans and political tensions involving the TDP are also adding to the complexity, with social media playing a critical role.
Achieving the expected success in theaters will be a challenge. While Devara benefitted from strong digital and social media support, it’s unclear whether Pushpa 2 will receive similar backing.
In this context, Allu Arjun’s digital team is likely under immense pressure, and the intensity is expected to double after the film’s release compared to the pre-release phase.
Considering all these factors, Pushpa 2 will need to maintain exceptional quality to meet audience expectations.
