After the disappointing "Kissik" song, the "Pushpa 2" team has now released a fresh track titled "Peelings."
Shockingly, this song too turns out to be disappointing. The fast-paced music fails to sync with the ears and mind, and the lyrics seem overshadowed.
This is unexpected from Devi Sri Prasad, who is known for delivering chartbusters with crystal-clear tunes, orchestration, and impeccable execution, as seen in songs like "Sooseki" or "Pushpa Pushpa."
"Peelings" sounds more like a cacophonic piece from an amateur musician.
Chandrabose's lyrics carry some depth, especially in the charanams, but the composition undermines their essence.
However, the song proves to be a visual feast with Rashmika and Allu Arjun’s mass steps, which bring something fresh and engaging.
Towards the release of the film, both the songs released so far—"Kissik" and "Peelings"—have failed to raise expectations or generate significant interest.
This contrasts sharply with the way "Oo Antava" from Pushpa 1 created a buzz and heightened anticipation before the release of that film.
Pushpa 2 is slated to release on December 5th, amidst huge expectations across multiple languages worldwide.
