Allu Arjun continues to dominate the box office as Pushpa 2: The Rule, the most anticipated film of 2024, achieves yet another milestone.
The action thriller wrapped up its first week on a high note, maintaining its blockbuster streak on day 8.
Here's a look at its remarkable performance as it inches closer to surpassing RRR.
In its first week, Pushpa 2: The Rule amassed an impressive ₹699.25 crore net across all languages, making it the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
The film is now on track to surpass RRR's lifetime collection of ₹772 crore, securing a spot in the top three.
According to early estimates, the Allu Arjun starrer collected approximately ₹37-39 crore on day 8 across all languages, with only a minimal drop of 7-11% compared to the ₹42 crore earned on day 7.
With its consistent performance, the film's momentum is expected to pick up further over the weekend.
The total box office collection for the first eight days is estimated to be between ₹736.25 crore and ₹738.25 crore.
Pushpa 2 now needs just ₹34-36 crore more to surpass RRR and claim the third position among the highest-grossing Indian films.
Currently, the top three spots are held by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion with ₹1031 crore, KGF Chapter 2 with ₹856 crore, and RRR with ₹772 crore.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is an action thriller produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings.
Alongside Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprise their iconic roles, with an ensemble supporting cast that includes Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
