'Pushpa 2' and 'Game Changer' Worry About This

While Telugu big-budget films, especially highly publicized pan-Indian projects, are performing well in the Hindi and Telugu markets, they are failing miserably in other important markets like Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Prabhas is the only South Indian star who can generate massive openings comparable to Shah Rukh Khan in the Hindi market. As a result, he doesn’t need to worry about North India.

However, even Prabhas is struggling to deliver blockbuster-level collections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. The blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD didn't see significant numbers from these regions.

Nani has been promoting his films aggressively in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, but none of his recent pan-Indian projects, including Dasara and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, have brought in big numbers from these markets.

NTR’s Devara also flopped in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, though it succeeded in the Telugu and Hindi markets.

Ram Charan’s Game Changer will face a big test in the Tamil market. Although director Shankar is a big name in Tamil Nadu, his recent film Indian 2 was a major failure. As a result, there is concern within the team regarding the film’s potential collections from the South Indian markets.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 carries high expectations. The film is expected to have a huge opening in the Telugu and Hindi markets, no doubt.

Since Allu Arjun enjoys considerable popularity in Kerala, Pushpa 2 is likely to open strong there. However, Tamil Nadu will be a litmus test for him.
