The first public promotional event of Double ISMART took place in Vizag. The makers launched the theatrical trailer in the city with a huge crowd in attendance.
Hero Ram Pothineni recalled how the character Shankar was created.
“I met Puri in Goa. When we discussed what kind of film to make, I mentioned him that it should be a character that would be remembered for a decade, emphasizing that it's been many years since such a character was created. That's when iSmart Shankar was conceived. It turned out to be a mental mass madness—one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”
Ram then revealed how Double ISMART materialized.
“I told Puri only one thing I wanted a character with that kind of mental mass madness, combined with a kick-ass script.”
The actor spoke about the kind of kick a commercial success gives.
“Making a commercial film is very challenging, with a low success rate. However, when a commercial film succeeds, the excitement it generates is unparalleled.”
Ram is hopeful of Double ISMART to become a huge commercial hit.
